Tim's Notes: Texas Hogs

Hunting Style: This is a slam dunk 3 day gun hunt and as alway a bit more challenging for the bow hunter but a great spot to shoot a monster boar. This
is where the 300 pounders live. Many ways are used to hunt these beasts. I like to shoot them off feeders and spot and stalk them along roads that have been fed. I've speared a few of them along the way. It's all fun. You can dog hunt if you'd like. Night hunting is a blast and real effective for those smart old boars. There are loads of Havalina to shoot as well although 2 is the limit in Texas. I have several spots in Texas and Florida to go where you can kill monster boars. One place I hunt near San Antonio there is no limit. Shoot as many as you can! There are bobcat, coyotes, rabbits, turkeys, and rattlers. Hunt them all with no additional fee. I loose at least a dozen arrows each time I go. The hogs are smart and fun to hunt.. They love corn and that is their demise. Oh yea, Bring Snake Boots! Give me a call and I'll set you up with the right guide for your style of hunting.

Weather:

Camp: All three locations are modular homes parked in the woods. Not much to look at but nice inside with air conditioning TV and fully furnished . Except for phone service. Bring your cell.

Food: The food can be great or so so.

Guides: These guys are fun and redneck as they get. I love hunting with them. You've probably seen one of them on my show Relentless Pursuits. I hunt with them at least 4 times a year.

Cost: $150 deposit to book $225 per day and stay all year if ya want.

Success Rate: 100 percent shot opportunity with a gun. 95% with a bow. But if your avid, I'd say no problem for they are close when you shoot em..

Season Dates: Year round

Location: 1 hour south of San Antonio Texas, Choke Canyon.
