Hunting Style: There are several ways to hunt Nilgai. Safari style truck hunt, water hole, and spot and stalk. I strictly did spot and stalk. If its dry that can be hard to do for these beast can hear and see like you won't believe. They pick up motion better than an antelope and are tougher than nails to bring down with a bow. Their vital lay forward and they have a thick chest. They are big like an elk. I took mine at 80 yards but could have killed others closer. The camera man was out of the shot or couldn't capture good enough video of the animal. There is a pile of them as well. You'll see lots and be in the hunt all day. Its a three day hunt of which you can pay for additonal days if need be. 99% are shot with a rifle but it' can be done with the bow. You can use either. It's a blast! I had the time of my life chasing these blue beast in and out of rolling terrain on the texas coast line. It's a free range hunt. Because of the constant action, Nilgai are probably one of my favorite animals to hunt. This is the finest eating animal. Better than a calf moose. They are big animals as well. Nilgai are beautiful mounts too. You got to do this hunt. Excellent rifle hunt for the entire family.
